Feature
Q&A on your course materials
Read and ask in one place—use @ to scope questions to a page, file, or folder.
Study with your own course materials
Ask questions while the lecture is open. Use @ to select a page, PDF, or folder so the model can retrieve context from your materials instead of relying only on a pasted prompt.
How to use it
- Open the lecture you are studying.
- Use @ to select the relevant page, file, or folder.
- Ask for an explanation, comparison, or summary, then inspect the referenced material.
- Record the useful explanation in your notes and follow up on anything unclear.
When it helps
Compare how two lectures explain a concept, ask for a formula's assumptions, or request a simpler explanation of the page in front of you.
Limits and review
Answers can be incorrect or miss relevant context. Check references, equations, and conclusions against the course material. Paid models use AI balance; available free models do not.
Paid AI tasks deduct US-dollar AI balance based on actual usage. Ordinary reading and note editing do not use AI balance. See pricing and free features
Example prompts
- Based on @Lecture1.pdf, explain page 3 of @Lecture2.pdf
- Summarize the page I'm reading right now in three sentences
- Compare how @Week3 and @Week5 cover supply and demand
FAQ
How is this different from ChatGPT?
Same class of models—but you read PDFs and chat in one tab. SlidesTutor already knows which file and page you mean, so you don't paste context back and forth.
What can I @ mention?
A specific page, one PDF, or an entire folder. SlidesTutor retrieves relevant pages from that scope before answering.
Which models are supported?
GPT-class and Gemini models inside the app, grounded on your uploads.
